Another reason for jacked up trucks are to fit better and bigger tires. There is some indications that larger wheels and tires increase truck performance. But in most trucks, there isn’t enough space to fit larger tires without lifting the truck at-least a little. So without lifting a pickup truck you won’t be able to fit the larger tires and wheels.

However you can’t lift trucks as you like. There are different regulations to consider in different countries and sometimes in states. Most often a lifted trucks needs special authorization to perform the lift and then after it is jacked up to use it. Regulations regarding lifted trucks and jacked up trucks are very specific. One needs to make sure tires and wheels are not too high and in proper order in order for you to drive the jacked up truck.
